The role of satellite data is already crucial in many fields. At the same time, users face a significant challenge: there are more platforms, services, and data than ever before, and navigating through this vast amount of information is difficult.
The question of how to make the use of satellite data and remote sensing services truly user-friendly is therefore very relevant. The simplicity of platforms and the intuitiveness of technical solutions are key, but it is equally important to provide users with clear tools that help them understand and interpret the data. The power of inspiration should not be underestimated either – the true value of data is revealed when it helps the user clearly understand which problem can be solved and how. All necessary information should be presented in a way that it doesn’t require diving into lengthy manuals, which unfortunately tend to become outdated.
These “ah-ha” moments, where the data becomes meaningful and practical, do not always happen right away. Often, it requires deeper engagement, patience, and the willingness to notice the details. In a digital age where quick solutions are often favored, this is quite a challenge. However, it is this deeper understanding that can inspire innovation, help solve complex problems, and bring us a step closer to a future where the potential of data is fully realized.
One way users can better understand the complexity and potential of satellite data is by providing them with environments where they can experiment with the data. This approach not only makes data processing simpler and more understandable but also creates a dynamic learning environment where each step brings new insights. At ESTHub, we have set improving user convenience and user experience as one of our key goals for this year, aiming to offer exactly these kinds of tools and platforms that enable users to work with data quickly, easily, and effectively, discovering new ways to apply it.
You are invited to participate in the ESTHub Vision Day. Together, we will discuss how to make remote sensing solutions more accessible and user-friendly by leveraging the best of machine learning, data analytics, and modern technologies.
📅 Date: April 1, 2025
⏰ Time: Approximately 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Location: RMK Building, Toompuiestee 24, Tallinn
We are honored to have Simonetta Cheli, ESA’s Director of Earth Observation Programmes, joining us in person to greet the participants. The event is aimed at both the public and private sectors, offering a platform for discussions and knowledge-sharing in this field. The day is organized by the Estonian Land and Spatial Development Board (MaRu) and moderated by Tarvi Tamm (MaRu).
